James & Nicholas have a long-standing and on-going involvement with the iron and steel industry and also act for a large number of clients engaged in both heavy and light industry. We have extensive experience in the design and construction of production and warehousing units.
Since the 1970's, we have been engaged regularly by Tata (and previously Corus / British Steel Corporation) to work on projects at their Port Talbot, Trostre and Llanwern Works and we also provide Consultancy Services to Celsa Manufacturing (UK) Ltd (including design of a new Melt Shop). We have recently completed a new Rolling / Finishing / Packaging facility for Bridgnorth Aluminium, and previously designed their Cast House extension (along with being involved on many other smaller projects over many years). During 2016 / 17 we successfully delivered several projects for Sandvik Osprey Ltd at their Red Jacket Works in Neath, including extensions to the Powder Production and Sizing Halls, and a new Car Park, and we also recently constructed an extension to the Timber Treatment Plant for BSW Timber in Newbridge-on-Wye. |

Project: The civil and structural engineering, cladding and mechanical / electrical work associated with an extension to the Rod Mill building in Cardiff. A structural steel twin-portal-framed structure was constructed as an extension to the existing building and the works included the diversion of existing railway tracks and provision of surface water drainage and external concrete yard areas. |
